From SC to D.F - the tension increases

This should be short and sweet, as the day was filled with organising and then rancid travel.
This morning reports came through that Subcomandante Marcos had made it to Mexico D.F. A text sent to me said there were riots in D.F. and I was about to head there, but the text disappeared and I do not know who sent it.
The photos from Saturday in Mexico D.F. said a lot and gave a good idea of what is expected in the coming months, thousands of riot police protecting the president from his own people.
In San Cristobal de Las Casas this morning I witnessed several government buildings had been attacked during the night. Pro-APPO graffiti was sprayed across doorways and the sides of buildings.
Needless to say there were even more heavily-armed police in the streets. And they looked pissed, probably because attackers had managed to deface the government buildings they were supposed to be protecting with assault rifles and shotguns, and their bosses had given them a serious grilling about the lack of security.
The next few days will see some serious action against the new president. Only time will tell how this will play out and what the government response will be.
