As the eyes of the world watched the left and right punch and throw chairs at each other in the Congressional hall in Mexico D.F. at the weekend, the two remaining suspects in the murder of William Bradley Roland were released without charge.
Abel Santiago Zárate, a local elected representative of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), which controls the state government, and his chief bodyguard, Manuel Aguilar both were released over the weekend, after the judge in the case said their was no enough evidence against them.
This latest failure of the legal system follows the alleged "escape" of municipal policemen Carlos Soriano and Juan Carlos Sumano, and paramilitary gang member Pedro Carmona, who all managed to walk free from incarceration without anyone noticing.
