In an un-named Liverpool pub today.Paddy M, 58 and John P, 60 sat dispondent. Both of them are cash in hand security guards."I got caught by the DWP".John told me."I managed to phone Paddy on his site to warn him"..The raids yesterday conducted by police and the DWP in conjunction with the security advisory service were intended to frustrate crimminals using security as a front for other operations and money laundering.
I asked John if he was being charged with anything and he told me he had previously had his dole (jobseelkers allowence stopped) for a previouse offence of working while claiming. When i asked him why he did it he said."The dole is'nt enough. And if i put my cards in the wages are so low i could'nt pay my rent and tax never mind eat.My kids want playstaions for christmas".He then added "The police will regret it".
This turned out top mean that a lot of places will now go without security because "the lads"won't go in.And apperently tonight will be the same.A ot of premises protected by security guards,be they legal or not will not be protected tonight or for the forseeable future.
