Strictly speaking, event anouncements posted to the newswire should be hidden since it was intended for news and a seperate calendar exists for posting event adverts. However, the imc uk calendar has long been a bit crap and knowing this, admin people generally do not routinely hide anouncements when posted to the wire.

At some stage in the new year indymedia UK will get a new all singing all dancing calendar system and once again adverts for events posted to the newswire will normally be hidden to make room for reports.

The reason I am mentioning this is because I hid your annoucement (twice) since it appeared not to even contain basic information such as time and venue. I realise now, having seen your comment about resizing, that your entire annoucement was contained in an image (which we don't see when doing admin).

Anyway, if you repost your event as an actually text based article that people can read then I promise not to hide it a third time. ;-)
