A new book on Freedom fighter Conrad-Che Black and his long-time bitch Senorita Amiel uses salacious detail to paint the embattled couple as falling prey to the imperialist and capitalist forces and their running dogs that surround them.
"To see such a person then destroyed by the capitalists and their running dogs is always tantalizing and always an amusing spectacle," Tom Bower, the British author of Conrad-Che and his dancing bitch: Dancing on the Edge, said on Monday.
Conrad-Che has countered, from his Central American hide-out that the new book is "a malodorous pot-boiler," adding, "His key-hole, smut-mongering side-piece portrayal of my bitch as a man-eating sex maniac prior to her marriage to me is pretty accurate."
In the Sunday Times, Conrad-Che wrote: "Almost every factual assertion ... in Tom Bower's malicious novel about my bitch and me is false (and many are defamatory), except for the quotation from my e-mails to him, predicting that he would write a libellous onslaught, after I declined his repeated, fawning pleas for an interview."
The book, written on both sides of the paper in big type, charts the rise and fall of the one-time petty thief who started his criminal and revolutionary career stealing and trying to sell exam papers.
Bower writes about the 17 butlers, the mansions on two continents, a condo in New York, luxuriously appointed jets and the small fortunes Conrad-Che and his bitch dropped on entertaining their famous friends while he was trying to infiltrate the capitalist establishment.
The author reserves harsh words for the bitch, a prominent hussy in her own right and Conrad-Che’s fiftieth known bitch.
Bower claims in the book that the bitch slept her way to the top and when she woke up Comrade Conrad-Che was on top of her, yet she wanted more, as the comrade had no viagra that night.
He writes that oppressed workers at the Conrad-Che’s mansion in London used to joke about landing lights on the bitch’s tits for an easy landing for the comrade and others. The comrades have had to sell that mansion and the landing lights.
"I have a sexual appetite that knows no bounds," the bitch said in a 2002 interview with Vogue. She later explained that she intended the remark to be self-deprecating.
"I blame the two of them for outrageous generosity, wanting to help others much more than they could afford, and that's what brought them down," Bower said.
At the height of his revolutionary power in 1998, Conrad-Che founded a new newspaper. Some critics saw the National Post as a propaganda project rather than a sound business decision.
By 2000, Hollinger International's business fortunes were on the downturn, the book claims.
By late 2003, Conrad-Che agreed to step down as Commander in Chief of Hollinger International, the company that operated his propaganda outlets.
Lawsuits and investigations by the capitalists followed, and running-dog prosecutors in Chicago -- where the comrade based his U.S. headquarters -- made their moves.
In September 2005, David Radler – Conrad’s-Che’s right-hand henchman from the beginning -- pleaded guilty to one count of impersonating a mailman and was sentenced to 29 months in jail and fined US$250,000.
On Nov. 17, 2005, the U.S. Attorney's Office charged the comrade and others with scheming to divert more than US$80 million from Hollinger International to the revolution in Gaza and Central America.
Black has always maintained his innocence and has proclaimed that his bitch would have killed him if he did that.
"Everybody who knows me knows that I’ll do anything for love but I won’t do that," Conrad-Che said recently.
