the protest enters its scond week now but we need more media coverage - most of it is at Trebanos - some of the protestors from there came down to check out the other site and brought their HTV loaned Video camera.
there was no action at the weekend despite the camp being womanned 24hrs. today they turned up in force and tried to drive their machines over the footpath where the camp is. they were prevented from doing this by making the case that machines are not allowed on footpaths - they require a court order and 28 days notice to do this.
then they moved in with the diggers and pretended they were going to dig underneath the path - but as we threatened to squat the tunnel they gave up and admitted they had no intention of risking life. to date they have interogated the farmer whose land the path is on and attempted to close off the path but we have resisted and will continue to do so until they release a full report of the safety concerns raised by SAFE HAVEN group.
