EDO Demos have been growing in anger and in numbers over the past few weeks. Police have had an increased presence...
Police attempted to impose Section 14 of the Public Order Act on this Wenesday's demo at EDO.
Sec 14 allows police to impose specific limited conditions on a gathering if they fear a serious threat of intimidation, criminal damage or violence or a serious disruption to the life of the community. Breaking the terms of these conditions is a criminal offence if the order is imposed lawfully.
The protesters were doing none of the above
This is a further attempt to limit the right to protest at the factory
However, the police were aware they were on shaky ground and did not enforce their order. The demo continued as normal
EDO MBM are not in a good situation financially. We can win this battle
The next Demo is next Wednesday 4-6pm
on 6th December we are holding a party to celebrate the imminent demise of EDO MBM after their poor performance this year and the discontinuance of EDO MBM Rugged Sytems
The party will be a masquerade - Prize for the best mask
