REMEMBER THE "PLAUSIBLE DENIALS" WAR CASUALTIES TOO. . . .

News yesterday of a memorial to commemorate post-WW2 British war casualties is in the spirit of why we actually DO need to REMEMBER, ie. to teach the future to avoid the same mistakes - lots is yet to get uncovered about events after 1945, in fact, as "racketeers" got in the way of the N.I. peace process, post Cold-War. . . .

To REMEMBER with meaning, is also to look harder at the causes - WW1 was termed "the war to end all wars" - to include the "small wars" that involved the deaths or maiming of British soldiers, perhaps also when they werent "British soldiers" for those operations, though some revert to "British soldiers" after, might mean to uncover British equivalents of "Blackhawk down" embarassments, but - as much as to restore integrity to the situation, might mean we prevent further tragedies - or even unravel tragedies that are already happening.
The other N.I. factor in this - the question of commemorating those that died there in uniform - might get a very good response from all if the i.r.a, loyalists, etc were also allowed to remember, - in a good way - with the background of the peace process - with regrets, but respect for friends missed.( - the illegality of the "glory" bit shouldnt prevent this - in fact it is good to allow this "overground" - after all, we remember the Special Ops Executives WW2 past. )
