THE WHITE HOUSE SHOULD BE "CLEAN" not 'RID'

Repeat Offender | 29.10.2006 01:07 | Analysis | Anti-racism | Repression | World

Al Hilaly pulls out of Islamic festival as kevin rudd and howard's abc managed to changed his original comment to suit themselves. Now suddenly his words have been changed? "Clean" has now turned into 'Rid' by floppositon mp rudd and the abc. How say you rudd?

"CLEAN" not 'RID'
"CLEAN" not 'RID'

AUSTRALIA: The embattled Sydney cleric Sheikh Taj el-Din Al Hilaly has cancelled his appearance at a major Islamic festival today.

The Eid festival marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan on the Islamic calendar and it is being celebrated in Sydney at a multicultural event at the Fairfield showground.

As many as 35,000 people are expected to attend.

But Sheikh Al Hilaly will not be among them.

His spokesman says the sheikh does not want the recent controversy surrounding him to take the focus off the festival itself.

He has been criticised by both sides of politics this week for comparing women to uncovered meat and declaring his wish to clean the world of the white house.

May I say this Kevin Rudd, you hairy chested animal? When did 'clean' mean 'rid'?

After you got hold of it that's when!

So the Sheikh didn't say 'rid' those words are from Kevin Rudd and the abc so could someone ask kevin rudd to ask the war criminal phillip ruddock about whether controversial comments made by him "rid" the White House,(that is Red with blood anyways), breaks laws against inciting violence?

Police are taking a cautious approach to today's festival, despite the sheikh's absence.

Members of the riot squad are among more than 35 officers being sent to the event?

'Get'? 'rid' ?of the White House, then I'll resign'?

Tourists may be warned to stay away from Sydney

Fears that travel advisories such as those warning Britons and Canadians about race violence in Sydney last year will cause a massive loss of income for Australian tourism this summer season.

Latest campaign to demonise Islam and intimidate the Muslim Community

“The public furore ignited in response to the reported comments made by Sheik Taj Al-Din Al-Hilali has little to do with the question of crime or culpability. What is clear is that a consistently negative view of Islam and Muslims is being generated in this country with the aim of demonising Islam and silencing the Muslim community.”

Ruddock urged to decide legality of sheikh's comments

Gov't Ignorance
Gov't Ignorance

The Federal Opposition is calling on the Government to decide whether controversial comments made by the Muslim cleric Sheikh Taj el-din Al-Hilaly break laws against inciting violence.

=================================

The Opposition foreign affairs spokesman Kevin Rudd says the sheikh should be removed from his position, for comparing women to uncovered meat and declaring a wish to rid the world of the White House.

================================

He says the Government needs to take action to decide whether or not the Sydney cleric has broken the law.

"Attorney-General Philip Ruddock needs to make a statement about whether or not the sheikh's comments equal an incitement to violence under the terms of Australia's criminal code," he said.

"You can't simply sound hairy-chested about Sheikh Hilaly's comment on one hand and then leave unanswered the question of whether he's breached Australia's criminal law."

The New South Wales Premier Morris Iemma has condemned the latest controversial comments made by the sheikh.

Outside Sydney's Lakemba Mosque yesterday, the sheikh said he would not quit his role until the world had been cleansed of the White House.

Mr Iemma has already called for the sheikh to retire, over the comments he made likening scantily dressed women to uncovered meat.

Mr Iemma says the sheikh must step aside as a community leader.

"He also stands condemned for these additional comments that he's made about the White House," he said.

"He has a responsibility as a community leader to exercise his duties in a responsible and appropriate manner and he has failed comprehensively to do that."

Sheikh Al Hilaly has apologised for causing offence with the "uncovered meat" remarks, made during a sermon in Sydney last month.

He will not preach at the Lakemba Mosque for two to three months.

The West Australian Muslim leader Ameer Ali says the Sheikh should step out of the limelight to let things settle down.

He is urging people not to react to the mufti's comments.

debnam has got to go!

The New South Wales Flopposition Leader, peter debnam, says an anti-American statement made by Sydney cleric Sheikh Taj el-Din Al Hilaly was a virtual declaration of war on Western society. So debnam actually thinks war crimes against humanity and the death of 665,000 Iraqi men, women and children for democracy is a fair argument? Sack him before it's too late, please!

Don

learn about who said 'rid'

Start with G W Bush the super killer!

What did he rid of?

665,000 Iraqis I submit to John HoWARd the mouth that he should face the Hague with great speed!

What's the difference between Sheikh Taj el-Din Al Hilaly and John Howard?

Don't waste your time because one them is a war criminal and the other one is not!

So we have more right to deport Howard than we have to deport the Sheikh.

I think the Hague have their own cells.
