The suspicious lack of any publisher logos led me to discover this book is some crappy little self-publishing effort. In other words, once s/he's sent all friends a copy, then the rest of the 500 copies will language in a loft for a few decades and then end up in landfill when the house clearers empty the dead author's loft.

On top of that, the sample reveals a writing style that would be more suitable for washing machine manuals. Which will explain the piss-poor plot (same old science fiction invasion with a "controversial" (see Daily Mail editorial) twists.)

The only way this author will gain any wider recognition is if they shot the pope.
