Action is needed now: The government is currntly in the process of deciding wether or not to replace trident. Tony blair has already put the prospect of spending between £40 and £76 billion on the renewal on the political agenda. This would keep nuclear weapons in Scotland until at least the year 2055

Faslane 365 will draw attention to the dangerous insecurity and waste of resources inherent in the Trident nuclear system, and will mobilise support for these nuclear mistakes to be disarmed. In preventing nuclear 'business as usual' we also intend to highlight our real, human security needs, which will require a very different allocation of resources and action.

Nottingham will be playing its part in the Faslane blockade early next spring and we anticipate a powerful presence.There is plenty to do before the blokade – particularly in terms of, publicity, planning the action and raising funds.
