Italy rejects kidnap demand

When exchanging Gabriele for Christian convert rejected they demanded all Italian troops to leave but this was also rejected. Gabriele is due to be killed Sunday night if no agreement is made and they say they do not want money.


''I'm fine but I'm worried''
Gabriele Torsello, the italian journalist kidnapped in Afghanistan, made a phone call to Emergency hospital. Thursday at 8,45 pm (afghan time) the staff of Emergency hospital in Lashkar-Gah has receveid a new phone call from the italian photoreporter kidnapped on october 12 on the road from Lashkar-Gah to Kandahar. Torsello spoke directly with Rakhmatullah Hanefi, the hospital's security advisor, saying he is fine and 'worried'. He confirmed the ultimatum deadline, on sunday evening. The last phone call between Gabriele Torsello's kidnappers and the italian ngo Emergency had taken place wednesday at 8,45 pm afghan time. "If it's not possible to obtain the afghan apostate, then we want all the italian troops out of Afghanistan": this was the last request was made to Emergency's security advisor in Lashkar-Gah. Meanwhile, Lord Nazir Ahmed, british MP and friend of Torsello made a plea for his release: "Set him free, he is a muslim brother"
