Radio La Poderosa.— During a telephone interview on the radio program La Septima Provincia, anti-Castro fighter Luis Posada Carriles was optimistic about his upcoming verdict.

"This week a federal judge decides, and according to the law they must let me go. I hope that decision comes on Tuesday or Wednesday, because the judge has had the papers since last Thursday. I’m not worried and very optimistic that I will be released. If I were to be born again, I would to the same, I don’t regret anything. I had a life that at times was difficult, many defeats and some victories."

When asked if he feared for his safety if released in Miami, he told the radio program, "I have more friends than enemies here. I’m not afraid of that."
