PROJECT FOR SOMEONE'S CHILD GOES LIVE

This is to announce a new project, called "For Someone's Child", and its website, www.forsomeoneschild.com , which has today gone live on the internet. This project — centered around a simple song, entitled "Anthem for Someone’s Child" — has been founded by Alan Morrison, an English singer-songwriter based in Southern France.
The project,"For Someone's Child", is dedicated to all the children across the world who are the innocent victims of war and of the aggressive policies of warmongering politicians. However, at this particular point in history, this project is especially dedicated to those children who are the victims of the wretched and needless bloodshed in the countries of the Middle-East: Iraq, Palestine and Lebanon.
That children should be killed at all — worse, that they should be deliberately targeted for killing, or used as human shields by occupying armed forces from allegedly democratic countries — is not only abhorrent to all sense of human decency but it is surely indicative of the fact that we do not really live in a civilized world. It is scandalous that hardly a single official voice is publicly raised against this terrible slaughter, in spite of the fact that it still goes on day after day.
Before Iran becomes the next country to be bombed "back to the Stone Age" * by Western powers — when thousands of children will again be sacrificed in order to satisfy human greed and hegemony — let us finally stand up in vast numbers to the would-be warmongers, exposing their agenda to the world and letting them know that we will no longer be duped by their inhuman schemes and manipulations.
The "For Someone's Child" website is designed to create a focal point for awareness about these issues which will grow in influence, bringing people together around the song, "Anthem for Someone's Child". Hopefully this will melt hearts and generate ideas for action. Let us make the song an anthem for our time so that the memory of these children will serve to embolden us as we stand against their murderers and neutralise their policies.
