here's some photos of the blockade of Shells Jarrow Distribution depot on Tyneside. It was closed for an hour before the protestors got bored and went off to visit some fuel stations in Newcastle and caused some merry mischief there. Did a live radio interview and the protest is to be covered in the local Shields Gazette

I'm delighted at this solidarity action going on in the uk. The situation in Bellinaboy is very serious, today three protesters were arrested, two of them from the Erris Fishermen's Association, which had yesterday given a statement of support for the protest. Clearly they were targeted for this support. The media jackals are closing in, stepping up their blanket pro-Shell propaganda, now presenting anonymous allegations of 'intimidation' of Shell workers by protesters, trying to present them as violent agitators.
Some photos as well as more info are available here: www.indymedia.ie/mayo

Meanwhile, we have produced a short video detailing the background to the case. The more people who see it the better, we must counter the media blackout and propaganda. Please watch and pass on:

2 things - well done - but faces...?

excellent stuff, i'm so glad people are doing this kind of thing. We have to do as much as possible here in blighty, and coordinate it as much as possible too with each other and the camp itself.

If all the recent actions had happened on the same day, it would have definitely scared shell and got on the telly (boo hoo if you have a problem with talking to the media).

HOWEVER:
what is the point of wearing masks (great mask too, by the by) if you are going to post pictures with ur faces revealed?

Redwatch are now regularly pulling pictures from this site, and furthermore, why post ur faces online anyway?

I'd like to encourage people to habitually morph out faces on pics of actions. Witha movement this small, its not smart to leave this kind of info just lying around.

Don't see this as a dig in any way, just a few questions.

Congrats on the action and see you at another soon - or bettery yet, in mayo.

all the best

Well done on your action-great stuff!
We here in Dunblin are working hard too against a growing tide of State and Shell-sponsored lies and smearing.

There is a day of action in Rossport this Friday that people from all over the country are flocking to so keep your eyes and ears on that one poeple.

Well done again on your action!
