Three arrests this morning, national mobilisation planned.

This morning at around 7 a.m. police check points were in place on roads at either side of the Rossport Solidarity Camp. The police took the details of the people leaving the camp to go to the refinery site at Ballinaboy.
From 8 a.m. onwards a crowd of protestors gathered at the junction between the main road the refinery site is on and the ’materials haulage route’ - which is a road for construction traffic.
There was a brief sit down protest and a march to the gates of the refinery site commenced.
Upon arrival a phalanx of police attempted to push people away from the gates, and three residents were arrested on public order charges.
There is to be a national day of action at Ballinaboy on Friday the 20th of October.
