Take Action! Skin 2 U

NARN | 11.10.2006 17:50 | Animal Liberation | Social Struggles | World

Action Stations! Only 6 stores in the whole of Yorkshire are known to be selling fur, which includes Skin 2 U who are stocking fox trimmed coats. On demonstrations outside their store, the Skin 2 U manager has physically assaulted activists and tried with desperation to silence the truth about the store's support for cruelty.

NARN is adopting a new tactic with fur shops and also targeting their landlords and renting firms, who have total control over the shops they let out.

Please politely contact Skin 2 U and their landlords about the fur they are stocking:

SAMPLE LETTER:
"Dear Sir / Madam,
Skin 2 U in the Corn Exchange shopping centre, Leeds, are currently stocking products contacting real fur.
The Fur trade is cruel, barbaric and totally unnecessary. Many animals are skinned alive, gassed and electrocuted all for a coat.
Your company is acting as agents for the Corn Exchange and Skin 2 U. Please cease trading with them because of their involvement in animal abuse and cruelty. They have also physically assaulted concerned individuals.
Yours Sincerely,"

Ridding Leeds of the fur trade

13.10.2006 08:17

Good stuff, Leeds isn't far off being a fur free city. Seeing as legislation was brought in to end the fur production industry in the UK, it makes no sense at all that these garments of cruelty, bought usually at great cost by the wealthy as a sign of status, should still be legally on sale in the UK.
