655000 Iraqi victims of war

John Hopkins School of Public Health researchers have estimated Iraqi deaths due to the war at 655,000, over 600,000 from violence. The death toll is accelerating, from 3.2 deaths per 1,000 people in the year after the invasion to 12 per 1,000 from June 2005 to June 2006.

"Around 655,000 people have died in Iraq as a result of the US-led coalition invasion, according to the largest scientific analysis yet. That is 2.5% of the country's entire population....
"Various estimates have been made of Iraqi casualties, ranging from 48,000 to 126,000. But these have been based on reporting by the press, hospitals or the military, and tend to underestimate the dead, the researchers claim.
"Gilbert Burnham and colleagues at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, US, and Al Mustansiriya University in Baghdad, Iraq, surveyed 1849 households with a total of 12,801 inhabitants, in all but two of the 18 governorates across Iraq. The researchers asked about births, deaths and cause of death. They did not discriminate between civilian and combatants."

MOST IMPORTANT LESSON: when you plan to do evil things (and who on this planet has carried out more evil acts recently than Blair and Israel), expect Human decency to lead to organisations dedicated to exposing evil. Then with this knowledge, form such organisations yourself, pay to promote them to leadership positions, and use their output to minimise your crimes in the face of the world. Take control of the mass media. Ensure the mass media uses these State controlled bodies to describe to extent of your evil acts.
