During the past two weeks the violence of the drug gangs has increased to an extent the local paper (The Echo)has saw fit not to publish it. On Local websites and forums people are becoming more incensed and angry about how the situation is developing,some less coherent as their anger mounts. One story i heard that was particularly worrying was "leaving drugs laced with cyanide for the scum". Or sniping. You may say this is the frustrated outbursts of a community thats feels powerless to do anything? And you may be right. But it is this kind of frustration and feelings of helplessness that grow wild ideas into wild acts of violence. One site i read said"it won't be long befor seven little girls are lined up and executed in Norris Green". Referring to the Amish shooting in the US God alone only knows what thats supposed to mean. The general consensus is that the police are not doing anything about it. I drove through Norris Green a couple of nights ago and was stopped by them,for a check. And i know others who have been too. But what can they do? Unless they have specific information with enough evidence to obtain warrants. Not very much. The local thugs too have their rights. And if the community is too afraid to speak out it's no wonder it ends up with crazy solutions being tossed about. How long can ordinary people take it though befor someone does do something they will regret,and possibly the whole community? Something has to be done to curtail the gunboys and make these people feel safe in their own homes and places of work I just hope i never have to come back on here one day and say"i told you so"
