From cave painting to totemism ART has always been the means by/through which a given ‘reality’ is re-arranged (according to the will/desire/needs of the artist/s). Who is it that declares ART today? Everyone is an artist and everything, including murder and war is Art! War is the Art of violent imbeciles but it is art nevertheless. An existing relatively peaceful world was re-arranged by murder artists and today we have a new reality, one transformed by the art of lies and the implements of war. The methods to alter a given reality have never changed only tools (the means) change. It would be well that all become familiar with the means and ends of ‘ART’.
Everything produced is Art, every act/thought is art, therefore everyone is an artist – there are no degrees of excellence in this appreciation.
Pure will/desire constantly evades commodification; the ‘real artist’ is/becomes a cultural evolutionary. Bush & Co. produce the art of death, blood and pollution; counter it with the ART of PEACE, LIFE and HARMONY. Every gesture and every word against Bush helps to eliminate his reality from the ‘canvas’ of our lives; in this (process) those who choose Life, Peace and Harmony continue as the vast majority; however, active engagement must necessarily follow choice.
Religionists are in love with death, they pursue it with the fervour of those frightened to live the life offered them by infinite creation – they in fact refuse universal creation and cling to their own perversities, religion is the art of fear induction and maintenance. Their art is the fear of the natural world and all that it offers. The beauty and love inherent in creation is feared by religionists; they attempt to murder and replace natural harmony with their art of death, pollution and destruction. A hellish world is offered to replace paradise. A replacement world that can only be negotiated or accepted on the promise of its imminent destruction – this is the art of lunacy. Nihilism replaces religion today or to be specific, nihilism is religion today – but it is Art nevertheless, a hellish, nightmarish art of sick and fear-ridden minds.
It is not difficult to locate where you wish to BE in the world; no one can hide the art they constantly produce. What is not immediately apprehensible is that ART is PROCESS or ACTION, it is NOT a spectator sport! If you forfeit your option to create then others will create realities, which incorporate you and those who have relinquished their options. Your 'reality' becomes that of a subscriber, a subordinate role is assumed by default. Slavery did not die with the Roman Empire, accepting another's prescription of reality defines you as a slave.
Never relinquish your prerogatives to affect and create the world in which you live.
Relinquish nothing – affect everything.
