Attacks on women soar in Mosul

A recent spike in attacks on women has forced many in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul to retreat into their homes or resort to armed escort by relatives and tribal guards.
In recent weeks, Mosul residents have witnessed an unprecedented rise in the number of female corpses found throughout the city.Alaa al-Badrani said her friend, a school principal, was kidnapped from her home in the Bakr district of the city by an armed gang.
Her body was found with her throat slit in a construction site in the same district.Neighbours, who asked not to be named, told Aljazeera that the school principal had received threats on September 20 and was asked to pay "protection money".
One neighbour said: "But they didn't wait more than two hours before taking her."She was an outstanding woman and very religious so we do not know why this happened to her."
Revenge killings
But as attacks on Iraqi police and security forces continue unabated throughout Iraq, the families of officers and senior security officials are also coming under attack.
On September 28, despite the advent of Ramadan, Zuheira, a young housewife, was found dead with a bullet to the head in the Gogaly suburb, north east of the city.Salim Zaho, a neighbour, said: "They couldn't kill her husband, a police officer, so they came for his wife instead … very tragic.
"None of our women are safe, we have to have bodyguards from the family be with them all the time."A day later, a young woman, who police could not immediately identify, was found garrotted in the same sector of the city.
Earlier this week, a woman and her four-year-old daughter were kidnapped from their home in the eastern Saa district of the city. Her body was found a few hours later in an alley, her daughter alive and crying at her side.
'Sacrilegious' clothing
The increase in attacks on women has also been accompanied by a proportional increase in threats against clothiers and boutique shop owners, security officials have said.
In the Sarj Khanah district in Mosul, where many western fashion boutiques are located, shop owners have found threatening flyers and messages left on their doors.
One such flyer condemned "sacrilegious" clothing which it claimed corrupted young women with revealing clothes baring their shoulders and knees and called on all mannequins to be covered with proper Islamic garb.
The flyers included verses from the Quran as well as hadith (oral traditions of the Prophet Muhammed) followed by threats and a promise of death.
Abu Faris, a father of four girls and one boy, said he would not take any chances and have his daughters don the head covering veil as soon as they hit 10 years of age.
He said: "Mays, my oldest, is 14 and she has been veiled since she was about 12."Women who are not veiled risk attracting attention of some of the killers here."

The truth is more horrifying than any horror movie, and is exampled by the story above. We, that is the UK and US terrorist filth that invaded Iraq, began the process of kidnapping women and children, and putting them in rape camps. So against the muslim culture was this, that despite the growth of Blair trained native death squads, it has taken until now for local thugs to emulate the British and the Americans.
THE POINT ABOUT DEPRAVITY, IS UNCHECKED AND UNPUNISHED, IT WILL EVENTUALLY IMPRINT ON ALL CRIMINAL HUMANS, REGARDLESS OF THEIR UPBRINGING.
In Iraq, the depravity of Blair, and his New Reich thugs like 'pirate' and the others, has won out. Iraq is a living holocaust. Half a million plus humans exterminated as a direct consequnce of Blair's invasion, and growing at an ever increasing rate. The puppets in power trained by Blair to use the most inhuman methods to maintain and expand their powerbase.
The death squad activity in Iraq exceeds that seen in any nation since WW2. A template has been carefully crafted by Blair for the immediate future of humanity. The story of the horrors in Mosul (stories that you should ALREADY be familiar with through the use of sites infinitely better than this one) are nothing but the pre-shocks of Blair's crimes to come.
Iraq, pre-genocide, was a paradise for women when compared with the vile religious states created by us in the rest of the Middle East after WW2. By giving rights to women, the socialists of Iraq were loathed by their neighbours, who feared the movement of such rights into their dictatorships. No problem- the last thing Blair and the US are about is the growth of Human Rights. Only masters have rights. Slaves have none.
Today, Iraq is hell on Earth. Those that have fallen furthest are the females. Iran, Blair's partner in the invasion of both Afghanistan, and Iraq, is well pleased with the outcome of the alliance. When Blair genocides Iran, one of his excuses will be the consequences of Iranian influence in Iraq. You see this theme in the New Reich posts of 'pirate' almost daily on Indymedia.
Blair's game is hardly what I would call sophisticated, but seems to be sophisticated beyond the understanding of most people here, who can't even understand how you can have an alliance with a power you are determined to destroy in the future. The level of education of people in the West is abysmal. I make common reference to the nazis because that is the most likely period people will have some concrete knowledge about. Hitler allied with the USSR to start WW2 (invasion of Poland by BOTH powers, and atrocities there by BOTH powers), but his real intent was war with Russia. He was hardly sneaky in this regard, having long ago published his intentions.
The wars of WW3, leading to the ultimate battle between China and the US, have likewise been pre-published and pre-described. Blair is no sneakier than Hitler. The world is now in a pre-World War phase, with issues of war and mass slaughter dominating all commentary. The significant leaders of the West (US, UK, France, Germany, Canada, Australia, Poland, Holland) are not just pro-war, but pro-total war waged on a basis of racist extermination. Universal Human Rights have been formally ended.
Libya was forced to pay millions for each victim of the Lockerbie Bombing, and zionist terrorists earn millions for their families in US courts when killed as a consequence of their terrorist acts in Palestinian lands. On the other hand, Blair gave as one of the reasons for his genocide of Iraq the fact that the Iraq government gave compensation to Palestinians whose homes had been destroyed by crimes against humanity carried out by Israel. Murdered muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan have their lives valued by The Guardian, The Independent, and Channel 4 News at hundreds of dollars.
You are told that racism is the worst evil, but you sit back while your leaders carry out the worst racist crimes imaginable, with the clearest proof of the racist intent. If all people are equal, the value of their lives DOES NOT vary because of their so-called 'race'. However, British terrorists murder at will in Iraq and Afghanistan because the consequence at worst is the payout of several hundred dollars to families that are told they can take the money as a final settlement, or a bullet in the head.
All this, and yet so many of you went on a pro-British soldier march on September 23, neatly arranged by Galloway and other New Reich agents.
The Germans of Nazi Germany, growing ever more concerned inside, nevertheless sat back as nazi atrocities magnified, knowing that at least such horrors would never taint the 'homeland'. British people do exactly the same.
