Call for cyberspace protest against 'Redwatch'

Direct action needs to be taken against right-wing extremist website 'Redwatch'.

The Guardian has a story (

about 'Redwatch', a far-right website which lists the names, addresses and photographs of trade-unionists, anti-racist and anti-fascist campaigners, in order to provide information for members of far-right groups to carry out violent attacks against them.

The website has numerous aliases including:

www.redwatch.net
www.redwatch.co.uk

The article discusses the legal situation of the site, which the site owners claim is mirrored on several servers. Whilst I believe in freedom of speech and I am not sure that the banning such sites is the way forward, I am a firm believer in direct action and the right to protest.

I don't know enough to be able to launch a 'protest' against this website myself, but if anyone with the know-how wants a legitimate target to practice their hacking/DoS skills, this site is perfect.

Just had a quick look at redwatch and it seems that most, if not all the photos have been lifted from indymedia and other such sites. theres very little information there.
Not sure what the copyright law is with regards to the net is but If peoples photos are reproduced without their permission it is probably illegal and therefore should oblidge servors to remove photos.
but then the sites so bad it serves as an excellent example of the stupidity of the far right

would probably be enough for most hosting companies to ditch them. It's a question of reporting it regularly whenever they move their useless drivel. Any defamatory comments or inciting race hatred or violence comes under the jurisdiction of the law. It may be worth investigating whether the appalling SOCPA can be used against these morons, on the grounds that publishing photographs of somebody more than once is harassment and 'causing alarm'. The person concerned may need to make a formal complaint, every time.

The law is idiotic at times but worth using any resources we have to make these fools' lives misery. Artful hacking would be funnier though.

org takes you to a page that mentions cyber attacks and mirrors to three other domains, org.uk, co.uk, and net
