A peition has been launchged to save the Astoria in Central London, home of the G-A-Y nightclub, one of the London gay scene's biggest regular club nights.
The Astoria was sold in June for around £24 million to developers who intend to turn the venue into shops, offices ande flats.
Kylie Minogue, Madonna, Christina Aguilera, the Spice Girls, Girls Alod, the Sugababes together with X-Factor winner Shane Ward have all played at the popular club.
