Pilger,Ali & Terry Jones at Folkestone Lit Fest (10-19 Nov)

Award winning journo John Pilger, political commentator Tariq Ali, and Python's (and not friend of Bliar etc) Terry Jones are at this years Folkestone Lit Fest
The initial press announcement for the Folkestone Literaray Festival (November 10-19th) (Folkestone,Kent) has just been released.
The opening weekend is to feature both a local history and a left political theme, during the week there will be a two day childrens fest and the final weekend will be science themed.
Main speakers will include John Pilger, Tariq Ali and Terry Jones.
Others of note will include historians Dr David Starkey & Bettany Hughes dramatist Andrew Davies, and wife of 'he of the night' Sandra Howard along with, newsreader Michael Buerk, film critic Derek Malcolm and scientist Steve Jones.
Luvvies can er 'enjoy' Rupert Everett.
Films sheduled include :The Wind that Shakes the Barley (on the 9th at 11am-regular Folkestone Classic Film Club showing and U Carmen Khayalitsha on the 16th again at 11am). It is hoped a video showing of 'Spartacus' may also be showing at the Festie venue.
The festie guide is due out by Oct 12th. Bookings from Oct 16th.
