G8 2007 - Proposed 'Red Zone'...

Rage | 27.09.2006 22:35 | Globalisation | World

Cops in Germany have held their first 'scare-the-shit-out-of-the-local-populations' meeting, in advance of next years G8 Summit in Northern Germany. Along with apparently saying they are considering banning 'larger' demonstrations around the area of Rosstock/Heiligendamm (haha, try it!) they have produced this map, showing their proposed 'red zone'. They reckon the fence will be roughly 12ft high.

Russian, German and Welsh anarchists will be speaking this month about the mobilisation against the 2006 G8 Summit in Russia and plans for resistance to the 2007 G8 Summit in Germany. They'll be at the following places (and hopefully others!):

// - The Model Inn, Quay St, Cardif @ 7.30pm, 19th October

// - The Anarchist Bookfair at The Resource Centre, 356 Holloway Rd, North London on 21st October.

  1. 2.5 meters are roughly 8ft (rather than 12ft)! — d
