At this time of war abroad and unmet needs at home, I thought you might like to know that the gravest threat facing the security and prosperity of the United States has been identified:
You.
You.
What, you may ask, have you done to deserve being classified as Public Enemy #1?
Well, are you in a same-sex relationship?
Are you a lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT) person who cherishes and nurtures your children — or has dreams of one day becoming a parent?
Or are you just someone who believes that what consenting adults do in the privacy of their homes is nobody’s business but their own?
If you answered “yes” to any one of these questions, then you are being targeted by the radical right as a threat to our nation. You are being hung out to dry by cowardly elected officials who prefer to earn votes by pandering to fear and ignorance.
So what are you going to do? Roll over and play dead? Wave a white flag and surrender your right to enjoy full citizenship just because right–wing extremists are targeting you?
HELL NO!
If that’s your answer, then I encourage you to join a proud group of thousands of LGBT Americans and their allies dedicated to stopping the attacks of the forces of political and religious intolerance and promoting real American values such as fairness and equality.
