Sheffield Rythms of Resistance on the massive Manchester Time To Go demonstration held on Saturday 23rd September 2006.

The train from Sheffield was packed, even people with kids had to stand. As we came out of Picadilly we met a feeder march and followed it to the Peace Gardens.

not just Sheffield but a 50-strong ROR band including people from ROR bands in Manchester, Bradford, Barnsley, Hebden Bridge, London, Oxford, Cambridge and Sheffield.

If you are in the Bradford Leeds area and you want to learn to play samba then come and join us. We practice 8-10pm on Mondays in The Basement at Bradford University Student's Union.

Getting ready to drum for peace

You were fantastic!

At the start of the march I was right in front of you and the sheer jubilant energy that flowed from the drums had everyone swinging their hips and moving to the beat.

I got separated and ended up about half a mile away and yet the pounding beat was still so clear!! We loved it. It kept everyone smiling and dancing.

Oh, that lady at the front waving the batton in the long black skirt,she was awesome! I felt tired just watching! Where do you get that energy from? I take my hat off to you...you were fantastic.
