On 19th September the armed forces of Thailand overthrew the thai government yesterday in a bloodless coup'detat overturning a fragile democracy which has existed for 14 years. The junta declared martial law and arrested members of the government as well as seizing key installations in Bangkok including government offices and shutting down tv stations replacing the normal programs with images of the King.
