Stirling Peace Rally cancelled

Stirling PSC | 18.09.2006 16:13 | Anti-militarism

The Stirling rally on Tuesday 19th September has been cancelled.

Stirling University Students Association withdrew their support on Monday 2pm because they claim that holding the rally breaks charity regulations - we can no longer hold it in at the university. Needless to say that everyone involved is deeply dissapointed and we apologise for the sudden change in the student union's mind. I would like to thank everyone who has put so much of their personal time into organising, funding and publicising this event.

Long Walk for Peace

18.09.2006 17:12

The Long Walk for Peace passed by earlier. Bruce kent guilt-tripped my mum into walking slightly beyond her means, but she was grateful. The march stopped in the town centre and the local Labour politicians got to address the crowd. My mum was annoyed because the same councillors had forbidden her permission to put up posters advertising the march 'as they were political'.

I think she is finally seeing the true nature and worth of politicians.
