Shimri Zameret: Israeli army refuser and political activist will speak on the Palestinian/Israeli conflict and the anti-war and anti-globalisation movement in Israel
Public meeting – Thursday 21st September 7.30pm
Venue: YMCA, Shakespeare Street (Arthur Johnson room)
Shimri Zameret refused to serve in the Israeli army and spent 21 months in prison. He has set up an organisation of Israeli victims of the conflict who work against the occupation of Palestine. He was a parliamentary aide to an Arab member of the Israeli parliament from the Front for Democracy, the only mixed Jewish and Arab Israeli party in parliament.
