- Another editor of a Basque newspaper arrested and held incommunicado:
- Final assessment of the 16 arrests in a joint French-Spanish police operation.

“The truth needs to be established on all the human rights violations and abuses committed in the past. These should include allegations of killings/extra-judicial executions of people believed to be members of ETA by members of the illegal group entitled Grupos Antiterroristas de Liberación, (GAL) and the possible collusion by the State, as well as other human rights violations including torture and ill-treatment.”

- The Ararteko publishes damning report about evidence concealing by the Basque regional Government Department of the Interior:
- The Ararteko (Basque regional Ombudsman) has issued a resolution in which he severely criticises the Department of the Interior of the Basque regional Government for irregular actions, lack of cooperation, concealing evidence and providing incorrect data regarding a complaint made by two people who were arrested by the Ertzaintza and who claimed they were tortured:
- One of these detainees spent two years in jail despite having an irrefutable alibi, which was in the hands of the Ertzaintza, but which they did not send to the Spanish Audiencia Nacional.
