After a day spent walking in the warm drizzle I returned home and switched on the box, just in time to see a report about the protest at the Drax power station.

Had they been successful in shutting down Drax what would the protestors have achieved?

The protest certainly gained a great deal of media attention. But there is a massive amount of media attention drawn to the subject of climate change anyway. This protest succeeded in drawing media attention towards a lunatic fringe of recreational protestors.

The environmentalist movement generally enjoys good PR. The idiotic Drax protest will help to undo this. Anyone seeking to disrupt power to homes, businesses and hospitals will be viewed as an 'Enemy of the State', rather than 'Saviour of the Planet'.

Whilst watching the TV coverage I was amazed to see that the management of Drax came out of the situation looking rather better than the protestors.

Who do they think they are?
A small group of well-organised recreational protestors completely mis-represent an entire movement.

I recognised a dreadlocked hardcore aKtivist from the Matilda Vegan Fascist Militia on national television being allowed to be a spokesperson for environmentalists.

Are these dreadlocked morons funded by the government?
