what about the Brough Noise Demo

layzee r sole | 31.08.2006 17:31 | Anti-militarism | Globalisation | Repression | Sheffield

So what about the Brough BAe noise demo?
This posting, made a while ago, has asked for support for a noise demo against a large, power using, weapon making factory(hawk jets - for the UK government/military) tomorrow, Friday 1st September.

Bring yourselves, your friends, colleagues and banners, leaflets, whistles, drums, to the very gates of Capitalism.
The BAe factory at Brough, Humberside is on Saltmarsh Road, has two main entrance gates there and is easily reachable from the train station or bus stops in Brough - less than 5 minutes walk.
Time to arrive and protest/demonstrate is suggested as 11.30 a.m to 130 pm.
Can you spare a couple of hours to help stop economic driven weaponry threatening even more innocent children around the world?

Noise Demo

To coincide with the Camp for Climate Action, we call on on all those outraged by this state of affairs to join us in taking action against the BAe factory located in Brough, near Selby, from 12:30pm on 1st September. Bring anything to make noise, whether a whistle, a drum, or simply your own voice. Meet 12:30 at Brough station to leave soon after.

Directions: Brough is approximately twenty minutes by train from Selby (closest train station to the camp for climate action). Trains leave from Selby at 10:59, 11:44, 11:59, and 12:18; trains are sporadic so please make sure to leave on time. When leaving the station, go down Station Road, turn left onto Saltgrounds Road, and cross the bridge; keep walking, the site is difficult to miss.
