Also the idiotic and ill-informed labour MP for Selby on World at One pushing the dangerous carbon capture and storage. No mention of seepage and problems with oceanic C02 levels which scientists are saying makes the problem worse than we feared. We don't what your blather mister - coz thats all you give us - oh sorry cheap air travel, road schemes, and illegal oil wars.
This MP complains about direct action yet as a labour party member ( 24% of vote to get in to parliament in 1st past post is not democratic matey ) implicitly support arms dealing, cash for power and prestige, corporate theft ( e.g pfi and ppp - yep you do the damage to hospitals pal )and also oil, mineral and water war. Your having a ( not funny ) larf geezer. more waffle - these people don't get the urgency unfortunately - give a holiday in the Maldives!
You got some good points across ( and time ) on You and Yours - though the beeb editing always gives the last word to the policeman / businessman / councillor etc; in this case it was the EU-emission -credits-suing suing Drax spokesman with the last word and at the programme's end a final email from somebody worried about 'no electricity at all' - obviously not knowing about wind, solar ( great leaps and bound in this technology recently ), pedal, and conservation measures. nor the inconvenience of for example malaira ( mozzy buildup in the fens ) and new migratory patterns, cropfailures due to floods and droughts, extreme weather damage etc etc etc. (We keep on banging on about quality of life ( now hijacked by the New Woffling Greenwash Tories ) but esacping the murderous rat racea and slowing down the human race, practising permaculture and yes you can have your 'mod cons' - much will take a new and more interactive and rewarding format.
Wot a fat and lazy country surviving on global exploitation - most new jobs being in the admin one way or another ) of this. Getting rid of the square mile would help a lot I reckon. As would reclaiming our Land.
But still, a good overall bit of media time and a big hello to the 'euphoric' protestor on the news.
