Chief Inspector Barry Smith said: "We are not searching everybody, just selecting individuals to be searched."
- Well this was certainly not true, unless you take this to mean they did not search one or two people like mainstream media journalists or infants... Photos on Indymedia and footage on TV news showed them searching people in wheelchairs, and reporters observing throughout the day made it clear that everyone was being searched. At best this was a deliberately misleading comment from the chief inspector.

Chief Inspector Barry Smith also said on local TV news: "We're really looking forward to tomorrow's day of action".
- honest, that was what he said!

Police statements from "Operation Harmony" as it was called, had a distinct nu labour feel to them over the last few days with constant nonsense being quoted like "We're happy to provide as many resources for the protestors as they need. At the camp we're providing a liason interface between protestors and the local community" - it's not too difficult to see what that means when you decode it...
Also yesterday the top cop speaking on TV said: "We can confirm there is nobody inside the camp", - obviously he meant no protestors left inside Drax, although at that point there was still one person with a banner up a lighting tower.
