Stop the Oxford Lab – Direct action

the veganarchists | 23.08.2006 15:14 | Animal Liberation | Health | Repression

a cross post from another message board about direct action against the oxford animal lab on Sept 9th.

From some people calling themselves the....veganarchists

PLEASE SPREAD THIS MESSAGE / CROSS POST ON MESSAGE BOARDS

This message has nothing to do with the Speak Campaign

The last time we came together to leaflet and demonstrate peacefully in Oxford the police were on every street corner preventing the public from hearing about the atrocities that will be if the lab were to be built in Oxford.

Around 200 people attended costing the university £200,000 you heard it £1000 per campaigner this was a huge blow to the security fund at Oxford university the police couldn't keep up with the road blockades that brave campaigners set up, and the centre of Oxford was brought to a standstill.

Video of that day can be found here  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KB7oWnjtkO0

So what can we do about it?

This message goes out to everyone, we need support from those who came out and fought the police after they lied to us back in February. If you want to shut this place down then do it. Be smart wear plain clothing or all black but no logos or animal rights clothing bring scarves for your faces or masks and cause chaos. Don't be penned in at the official demonstration areas, block the main roads, occupy shops who support the lab, spray and scrawl, sticker and fly poster and make it cost.

They have taken our right to protest there is nothing left to do now but fight back, be smart, make plans, think high gain, low risk and stay one step ahead of them.

Oxford is a large place on Saturday 9th Sept the next national day of action is planned, please do what you can for the animals and countless humans who will suffer and die at the hands of this medieval barbaric scientifically flawed industry.

By writing this to you all the police will be expecting chaos so you might want to check out what your rights really are.  http://www.freebeagles.org

Unity and peace, total liberation.

Why don't you take all this frustrated energy

25.08.2006 10:19

..and use it for the good of the human race? Perhaps go to Zimbabwe or some countries the Middle East and protest against the flagrant human rights abuses there? Campaign to end Extraordinary Rendition?

rather than p!ssing off the innocent residents of a city with your violent actions and costing tax payers (that's those of us with jobs for any full-time eco terrorists out there) thousands of pounds in policing funds with your pathetic 'direct action'?

The tide will turn against your movement, and the sooner the better

If you feel so strongly

If you feel so strongly about the human race, then why don't you go out and do it?

If you felt anything for animals and understood they are sentient beings, and animal testing doesn't work, then maybe you wouldn't want a multi million torture being constructed that benefits nobody.

At the end of the day direct action works, and the sooner this security bill runs out the better.

Like I said I hope you are a when your not busy paying this security bill, you are trying to save people in Zimbabwe

Yes

Maybe we could travel over and report back on the use of the 3rd world people as test subjects from the oxford lab? - That would be interesting?

This is a human issue as much as an animal rights issue.

Anyway you probably have got time to reply as you are so busy campaigning against these issues yourself right? - Oh of course not.

Don't turn this argument around

I didn't claim to be an activist of any kind.

I think your responses here belie the fact that you realise that human rights are more important than animals, but you've been sucked far too deeply into the Animal Liberation's web of lies to really do anything about it.

In my opinion, animal testing DOES work and IS necessary, and you can throw back as many things as you want but individual cases which 'prove' animal testing doesn't work are the exceptions which prove the rule. A gold medal to the first person to mention Thalidomide, for example. which wasn't tested on pregnant animals - and SHOULD have been.

painting yourselves as noble soldiers against a cruel corporate-run state is simply a way of making yourselves feel better

Boring

I campaign for human rights also, and I consider those closest to me the most important. I would choose MY cat over your life for instance. Yet I would choose my family over my cats? What is your point? - Why do you troll this site so much? Maybe you should become an activist for human rights - even if you are sub human yourself?
