SOLITARY CONFINEMENT?
AUSTRALIA: SYDNEY: The lawyer for Faheem Khalid Lodhi, a Sydney man, [SCAPEGOAT], FOR Prime Sinister john hoWARd's WAR ON TERROR/LIBERTY FRAMED FOR preparing for a terrorist attack, has described the result of Jack Thomas's appeal as a great for the justice system.
Thomas was the first Australian [FRAMED] BY new federal terrorISTS.
But yesterday his FRAME UP on the charges of receiving funds from a terrorist organisation and carrying a falsified passport were quashed by the Victorian Supreme Court of Appeal.
Phillip Bolton SC, who is also president of the Criminal Defence Lawyers Association, says he was not surprised to learn that Thomas's conviction had been quashed.
"Well the first thing to understand is that justice should be done in the good old-fashioned way," he said.
"Confessions that are extracted after months and months of confinement and interrogation by the CIA and Pakistani secret service agents is not the way to conduct justice."
Thomas was sentenced to five years in SOLITARY CONFINEMENT in March.
His lawyers argued the interview he did with Australian Federal Police (AFP) in Pakistan should have been ruled inadmissable because he had no legal representation and only agreed to it because he had earlier been threatened with torture by foreign security agencies.
The Victorian Supreme Court of Appeal YESTERDAY agreed the interview was inadmissable and has adjourned the prostiTUTION'S bid for a RE-FRAME UP to a later date.

The prosecution today played a taped conversation between defendants Shoue Hammoud and Bassam Raad in which the prosecution alleges Raad suggests the authorities that put other members of their group in jail need to be slaughtered.
But in a heated volley of legal argument, defence lawyers said the reference to slaughter instead refereed to Raad's fears about what could happen to his friends in jail.
The defence lawyers said the prosecution was trying to drum up outrageous headlines to excite the media and to compound the fear being peddled in the Australian community.
The defence lawyers said the prosecution should just get on with the evidence.

The Melbourne Magistrates Court has heard a man charged with [allegedly] directing a terrorist organisation was kidnapped last year.
The court was told Abdul Benbrika alleged in a conversation recorded by police that he was questioned and hit during an abduction which lasted about six hours.
The defendant did not indicate who was responsible for the alleged kidnapping.

By his description, the only way not to be left hanging was to stand on the barrel; an electric wire ran through it. Mr. Habib said he believed the interrogators in that room were Pakistani.
