AUSTRALIA: NSW: A Sydney man accused of ['allegedly' on behalf of howhards abc ] training with a terrorist organisation will stand trial after he failed in his latest attempt to have the charge against him dropped.

Izhar Ul-Haque, 23, is charged with ['allegedly' on behalf of howhards abc ] intentionally receiving combat and weapons training from the banned terrorist group LET in Pakistan three years ago.

Lawyers for the former medical student who wanted to be a doctor argued that the charge is not constitutionally valid, saying Australian laws cannot cover alleged criminal acts committed on foreign soil.

But the New South Wales Court of Criminal Appeal today dismissed that argument and a trial date is expected to be fixed next month.
