Blog Exposes Corruption in Liverpool Council

A website containing allegations against senior council bosses is causing a stir at Liverpool town hall.
The blog - which can be read at http://liverpool-evil-cabal.blogspot.com/ - has already been seen by 800 people, and is sure to get even more publicity now Liverpool City Council has blocked the site on town hall computers.
Liverpool council would not comment today on whether it had launched a probe into who is responsible for the website, Liverpool-Evil-Cabal.
The website, supposedly compiled by "Tony Parrish", who lists his occupation as 'whistle-blower' and interests as 'victory', has a humorous tone.
But privately, officials are furious at its content and believe it is defamatory.
Cllr Joe Anderson, leader of the opposition, said he has been aware of the blog for some time.
He said: "I have raised my concerns about its allegations with the chief executive and we are monitoring it closely. While the website is not 100% true, some of it might be."
The blog is named after a comment by Cllr Mike Storey in a dossier of e-mails between him and ex-media chief Matt Finnegan, which led to him standing down as council leader.
It focuses on alleged conduct by three town hall officials, former chief executive Sir David Henshaw, resources director Phil Halsall and Dr David Mc-Elhinney, managing director of Liverpool Direct call centre.
But it also heavily criticises the council's approach to Capital of Culture, the departure of artistic director Robyn Archer and an investigation into council contracts with private firms Enterprise and BT.
A council spokesman declined to comment.

This is top notch blog as regards the info therein, exposing the monkey business of the upper echelons of the dire political and business leadership we have right now.
Too clever for a labour councillor
Lib Dems would not dare
The Tories? - forget it. They hate us too much and the feeling is mutual.
Whoever is writing it is clever and highly informed, there is a war on for Liverpool to break the community that many of us do not grasp the significance of and the importance of.
I guess someone up there likes us. Many hate us.
Long live Liverpool - the only place in the UK that can make the government fear us and offer hope to the rest of this nation.
