Crossrail Bill Select Committee defies the community, backs hole

The UK House of Commons Crossrail Bill Select Committee has just published a set of ‘decisions’ that confirm what Khoodeelaar! The campaign against CrossRail hole attacks on the East End of London had said from the start.

That that select Committee was a poodle committee, that it was not going to uphold the objectors to the CrossRail hole plan, that the 'Select committee’ was not an impendent committee, that it was composed in a way that it had a built in orientation to BACK the Crossrail plan that it was neither idfne3odnet nor transparent.

Throughout their formal meetings in June 2006 when they went through the motions as far as hearing the evidence from opponents of the Crossrail plot was concerned, the Committee showed their open hostility to hear those parts of the objections and the evidence from the East End of London that actually challenged the thinking, the concepts and the agenda underlying the current CrossRail plan.

They have approved the plan for a CrossRail hole in the Hanbury Street, right in the middle of the Brick Lane area.

They have aped reasonability but there is no reason. In fact their interim decision’ is so unconstitutional that Khoodeelaar! is now including the conduct of the Select committee as part of the ground and the evidence and the cause for the constitutional law challenge that the camapgn is starting.

The court challenge is part of a series that is being mounted to focus attention on the comprehensive unconstitutionality of the process of law-making in the Uk especially in the context of the Human Rights conventions.
