Thanks for the reminder. The Israelis moved into southern lebanon, because the PLO (a progressive organization) was launching attacks on Israeli civilians from Lebanon. How did the PLO get there? After the massacres of Black September, where Jordan (another progressive entity) slaughtered 20,000 PLO, they were forced into Lebanon. Once there, the darlings of the progressive movement, the palestinians, began to systematically slaughter Christain Lebanese. Village after village of unarmed Arab Christians were massacred by the advancing PLO. Very progressive.
The Lebanese Christian Phalange took revenge on the palestinians who, as usual, were hiding their fighting men and weapons among their women and children, which of course is a progressive tactic...
