A Shift in Perception

I went for my usual Sunday pint today in the British Legion Club.In the television lounge there was about fifteen old veterans watching Sky news. The story they were watching was about the child victims of the Israeli bombings in Tyre. They were all very quiet and serious, normally they are quite rowdy. Then i heard someone say."They dropped leaflets telling everyone to get out and then they fire missiles at them when they try to"Then another voice ,from one of their oldest and an ex captain said"We fought to protect them from the Nazi's and now they are behaving like them".
That comment was a bit of a shock to me but as i looked around the room every head was nodding in agreement. It seems the israeli's are doing more harm to themselves with the attack on Lebanon and are losing the support of what was their strongest supporters.

"as many as 90% of Israeli citizens approve of the offensive"
"Voices of dissent are scarce"
"as many as 90% of Israeli citizens approve of the offensive against Hezbollah and want it to continue"
Think if they keep on and on AND ON AND ON about how everyone in the world thinks the war is great, we'll start believing it and agree?
