Israel has used the capture of one Israeli soldier to inflict horrific collective punishment on the people of Gaza, 50 of whom have been killed, many more injured and all of them now, according to the United Nations, face humanitarian catastrophe, with food and fuel supplies running out and the Israelis having destroyed the Gaza power and water systems.
Now, with the capture of two Israeli soldiers by Hezbollah, Israel is again threatening totally disproportionate war against the Lebanon.
