Trial continues of 5 Shannon peace activists

The trial of 5 'catholic anarchists' from the Catholic Worker movement continued today in Dublin.
The five, including Karen Fallon from Scotland, are accused of causing US$2.5 million worth of damage to a U.S war plane in Shannon airport on February 3rd 2003. They face up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
Yesterday comedian Mark Thomas accompanied the morning procession to the four courts where there has been an ongoing presence of international friends and supporters.

Kathy Kelly from Voices in the Wilderness took to the stand today but the jury was dismissed for her testimony.
The trial continues on Monday with an international law expert to be heard and legal arguments to follow.

Somebody did an anti-G8 banner across a footbridge in Bristol and that is promoted - did you read what that crew did in Ireland ? Cos they are Irish ? That'll be news to Karen fae Faslane. I'm not dissing the Bristol banner, I like to see that stuff as I'm walking by, but it isn't really activist news, it's not really inspirational or effectual is it ? It's not even graffitti, just a banner with no people. Promoted above this.
Try to give the real activists a bit of support in future - it has been sadly missing.
