Later Antony told a journalist he just found it impossible to talk about his family at the time. It is a well known fact that torture survivors and other very traumatised people cannot talk about their experiences until they recover at least a bit from the trauma. This fact has been known by psychiatrists and psychologists for many years, but the Home Office still holds it against its victims.
