As you yourself admit, the target was the house of a prominent Hamas supporter (Hamas being rightly classified as a terrorist group by the EU (including of course the UK) as well as the US, Israel and many other nations. This unfortunate muppet had created a legitimately target-rich environment by inviting a number of other leading terrorists to a meeting there. This would appear to be in itself a war crime, since it was using civilians (in this case unfortunately for him his own family) as human shields, but this is what the terrorists in Gaza deliberately do every day.
To this we have to add that the Palestinian definition of "civilian" is loose and elastic and often refers to individuals, particularly teenagers, assisting terrorists in their activities. Obviously this use of under-age accessories is also a war crime.
Anyway, palestinian statistics are a load of cynically but crudely manipulated crap as a rule, even when the IDF wasn't actually responsible for the deaths (see the fireworks at Jemaliya camp last September, the bogus Pallywood "beach massacre" and last Saturday's "friendly fire" deaths of three civilians in a house. Why even the suicide bombers who grotesquely and deliberately murdered hundreds of innocent Israeli civilians (in the true sense) were counted as "civilians" in the Palestinians own statistics.

I thinks the first posting has got some relevance. The BBC article doesn’t mention that the 9 people killed are a couple and 7 of their 9 children, it doesn’t mention innocent civilians or the world massacre, which would have been used if it was a crime committed by the other side.

The second paragraph on the BBC story states "a couple and seven children were killed in the attack".
