Asylum System Claims Another Victim

A 35-year-old man was found dead at a home for asylum seekers in Greenbank Drive on Wednesday morning.
A Home Office post mortem concluded that the man's death was due to asphyxiation. That much is obvious, since he apparently hanged himself. But why did he want to die?
The man - from Eritrea in east Africa - is believed to have had an assessment meeting with immigration officials under the New Asylum Model before the incident. Presumably he had some bad news.
If he had been welcomed, the man would surely have contributed to the community in Liverpool. But now he is dead, so Blair and the Murdoch press have yet more blood on their hands.
