Indy english lang radio coverage of G8

There is a proposal to provide english language radio coverage of the G8 mobilisations next week.

This is a call out for people to get involved.

The idea is NOT to attempt long sessions of live coverage but rather a scheduled hour long show at a specific time each day which would be streamed, archived and podcast for other stations to use under the terms of a creative commons licence or similar.

Additionally it is likely that they would be some live streaded material, mostly phone-ins, but with the prime intention of recording, editing and using that content in the scheduled show - rather than trying to maintain quality and an audience for 8 hours and day for a week!

To do the live phone-ins (which some people already out in Russia have apparently been asking for) there would be a land line and a PC set up with Skype VoIP. There would need to be a rota of people up for sitting in the studio at rampART at publicized times likely to coincide with events taking place in russia (obviously there are time zones to consider).

If you'd like to help make this happen please contact the imc-uk-radio mailing list or rampart(at)mutualaid.org
