Why is there so much boring shit on Indymedia?

Brutus | 03.07.2006 18:02 | Analysis | Indymedia

A look down the current newswire proves the point. Most articles are lucky if they more than two comments posted on them.

It has to be admitted that the promoted newswire has been a great success because anything that gets promoted is most likely the most tediously boring article you've ever seen, even by the standards of Indymedia.

The promoted newswire saves me the trouble of having to consider whether I would like to view those articles, because I know that I won't!

Between moronic conspiracy theorists and a building named after someones Gran, IM is a shallow place at the moment.

The only interesting posts are about the activities of various far-right groups and also when people slag off the SWP and their Respect party.

Can Indymedia be re-vitalised?
