Dear friends of East Timor,

There are 3 points I'd like to tell you in this email:

1.The date and time of next demo( 07/07/06).
2.Contact people that you know and media(if possible).

3.Petition.

Due to the current crisis in Dili,we(the Timorese in
the UK)and "OXFORD EAST TIMOR SOLIDARITY" have decided
the date for next demo in London in front of the
Australian High Commission.Our intention is to show to
the world that the Timorese people around the world
and in the country are united as always "one
people(MAUBERE) and one country(TIMOR LORO SA'E)".

In particular, we believe that all steps to resolve
the problems of East Timor should be taken within the
constitution and respecting the democratic process by
which parliament has been elected with a mandate that
holds until the next elections due in 2007.

The so called " East and West" division, as a long
time ethnic rivalry as it has been reported in
Australian coorporate media, is absolutely false. The
only truth is that those false reports have affected
the people of East Timor (the east and west
regardless). In order to put the record right,we would
like to invite you all to come to take part at the
demo in London.

1.The date of the next demo is going to be on next
Friday (07/07/06, at 15:00) in front of the Australian
High Commission, Strand,East end of Aldwych.

2.We the Timorese people in the UK and "OXFORD EAST
TIMOR SOLIDARITY" would like to ask you to contact as
many people as possible to come to the demo. Your
solidarity will make a difference to the people of
East Timor in ending their suffering.

3.Please, write a petition to the Australian
government not to interfere in the internal affairs of
the Timorese government. In particular, we ask the
Australian government and troops to support all groups
acting to uphold the constitution of East Timor.

"Peace keepers should keep peace and listen to local
people".
